Direct trade means we purchase coffee beans directly from the farmers who grow them, bypassing importers, exporters, and commodity brokers. This results in higher pay for farmers, more transparency about where the coffee comes from, and fresher, higher-quality coffee for you. Chaska Direct only works with direct trade sources in Peru.
Where is Chaska Direct coffee grown?
All of our coffee is single-origin from the highlands of Peru — primarily from small-holder farms in the Andean cloud forest regions at elevations between 1,200 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The high altitude, rich soil, and cool temperatures produce naturally sweet, complex beans.
What sizes are available?
We offer 12oz bags (ideal for home brewers and small households) and 5lb bulk bags (ideal for offices, cafes, and high-volume drinkers). Free shipping is available on bulk orders — multiples of 8 × 5lb bags or 50 × 12oz bags.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order. Bulk orders qualify for free shipping: order 8 or more 5lb bags, or 50 or more 12oz bags, and shipping is free. We ship via UPS across the continental United States.

Our Peruvian farmers use sustainable, low-input farming practices in keeping with traditional Andean agriculture. While not all lots carry a formal USDA Organic certification (due to the cost burden on small farmers), our sourcing and farming practices are consistent with organic principles. We are working toward certified organic offerings.
